Hot! Hot! Hot!

This weather sure has me worried for what's in store for July/August! Calling for 90 degrees tomorrow! Eek.

Had a lovely full weekend. There was an 11 mile run, a party for Eden (the first new babe of our PEPS group), dinner with the Wasse's, took care of things around the house including my first trip to the dump and major progress on our door headboard project and this afternoon we went to the beach.

Michelle is on vacation this week so I'm taking CE to Bright Horizons daycare Monday to Wednesday.  Mommy is very nervous.  I have a feeling leaving her is going to break my heart...

My baby is 19 months old!!

31 year old bear comes out of retirement...

...and thinks it may have been a mistake.

"Why do they always pull on the nose?"  Billy Bear asks to no one in particular.

Hugs for Billy Bear who recently turned 31.

"Ah yes, the ear drag, I remember this mode of transport...."

I call this one "Old Bear in Pink Tutu"

"Billy Bear!"  Melts Mommy's heart to see Carrie Ella  loving on my best friend of days past.

Belated Father's Day

We spent last Saturday and Sunday in Vancouver  Canada. The weather was beautiful and we had a nice time. By far the highlight was riding bikes from city central to and around Stanley Park.

Road trip!

Lunch in Bellingham Saturday. Such a pretty town! Can't wait to head back for the marathon in September.

We arrived at the hotel around 3:30.
We walked around the city then had a great Chinese dinner out. Dumplings and pork buns! Yuuuumy! CE enjoyed her favorite, rice. Back at the hotel we went for a dip in the pool then called it a night.

The next morning we waited an hour for a yummy Father's Day breakfast at Diners, Drive-In's and Dives, The Red Wagon. It was delicious.

We checked out of the hotel post breakfast grabbed our bikes and headed for Stanley Park. Such an amazing park! There's a great bike path around the perimeter along the water, 5 miles or so. The park includes a zoo, aquarium, pool, playground, water park, beaches, etc...

We were limited in time, so other than riding the full loop, we opted for a train ride.

Was a gorgeous day.

Carrie Ella is a lucky little girl to have such a great Daddy! He's an amazing man.

Here's the man of the day sporting his Father's Day shirt. It's a bit of a tradition....

Water

Water makes this kid happy. In a cup, in a bowl, in a water table, as ice, on the floor, in the tub, on her shirt, in her belly...

18 month check up

Took CE to the doctors today.

She fought Lucy and Dr. Lindsay every step of the way.

Measurements (not sure there is a lot of accuracy in these given she squirmed and tried to cling to me through them all)

Height: 34" (97th percentile)
Weight: 24lb 8oz (70th percentile)
Head Circumference: 46.2 (48th percentile)

She's good and healthy!

Finished the appointment off with two shots. Think that's its with vaccinations for a while. Next wellness appointment isn't scheduled until she's 2.

Evening wee wee watching

Carrie Ella asks to watch wee wee (TV) sometimes in the evening. Here she is watching Curious George via the iPad PBS Kids app. Her favorite is still The Wiggles though.

She's exhausted after a long Monday...

18 months

This never posted the other day....

My chatty baby is 18 months!

Beautiful day

Making the most of Daddy being out of town. CE and I took the bus to Cap Hill for lunch. Then went to Cal Anderson park. Listened to a great 4 piece band,  played on the playground and saw a cool fountain. Home for some napping!
