Sleep

I don't get great sleep lately. Getting up to pee 3-4 times in the night, the rolling over process multiple times because my limbs have gone numb....plus this little monkey often has me up and snuggling in her bed lately too. "Hug me!" Last night was pretty bad. Hopefully I can squeeze in a nap today. Trying to "enjoy" the last couple of weeks where I can give her my 100%. She'll be sharing soon enough, and I suppose this is all practice for even less sleep to come. Sigh. 

Sunday funday

Such a nice weekend. Gorgeous weather. Happy toddler. 

CE and I went and bought some fall flowers in the morning then got groceries. After lunch we made Cynthia's Banana bread (with some blueberries).

As they baked we pulled out our fall decorations which put CE in the mood for her George costume. 

Muffins we're a big hit!

In the evening we headed out to see Daddy play in an Alice In Chains cover band. CE and Char sat and watched pretty intently. 

Such a nice, fun weekend! 

First official play date!

Just dropped CE off for a play date with school friend Max. 

They were snuggling down to watch Frozen when I left :-)

Update: was a successful date. They made pizzas and played together very nicely. 

What an amazing morning for Sean and I too. A few hours of free time on a beautiful sunny day. This play date thing is going to be great!

WA State Fair

We headed to the fair with CE's BFF Char today. Much fun was had. A bit too sunny and hot for my liking...but a vast improvement from the downpour of last year.

These girls have a blast together.

Sean had to go through to rescue a scared CE who wouldn't go down the slide be herself. Matt and I enjoyed the show. 

The girls enjoyed sharing the lemonade ice. Silliness. 

No pregnant ladies on the carousel so Matt took the girls while Sean waited on line for cotton candy. 

Plenty of fun + no meltdowns + napping toddler = WA State Fair success! 

Friday Sillies

Scooter

Carrie Ella loves her new scooter! And she's getting really good at it.

Thanks to cousin Dylan for sharing it with her and to Aunt Debbie for the box full of other treats. We've been reading Thomas books every night for a week. 

So lucky for older cousin hand me downs! 

1st trip to the ER

CE has nursemaid's elbow. It happened when Sean picked her up from school, Daddy was swinging her like he always does ("one more time!") and out popped the elbow. Once the doc checked her they knew right away what it was and it was a simple fix to pop it back into place. She was back to her old self pretty quickly.

Not a fun experience, but glad it was something so simple. Now, will I be able to pop it back in myself next time? 

Deva

CE woke up in a great mood today. It definitely makes getting ready and out the door a lot easier. 

One area of issue is picking out clothes. It used to be so easy, now she has opinions.  I need to learn to let go of control (provided the outfit she chooses is weather appropriate).

Today she wanted a Madi hand me down shirt and skirt. 

She's all about the dresses/skirts lately but not sold on some of the new items I've bought for fall/winter. I'm hoping she comes around and that she'll agree to pants soon. I bought so many new ones...

1st Day of Preschool

Today is Carrie Ella's first day of preschool.

She cooperated and let me take some pictures this morning. With 6 weeks until her baby sister is due, Carrie Ella is now officially a preschooler and sleeping in her big girl bed without a problem!  Next up, potty training...
