I'm an Artist!

Trying out an art class at Thrive Art School on Saturday mornings. I think she's really enjoying it! I love seeing my little girl learning and engaged. ❤️

Aloha

A loooong overdue post. I feel like I've been sprinting since we got back from Hawaii. So here's some photos from the trip.  Overall it was an amazing, busy trip!  Having Zuza with us was incredible. We had time with the kids but also time for Sean and I to explore together. The house we rented was perfect! Downside is that it's a drive to any beaches. But the pool and house was the best.

Morning run before a day out with Sean.
Sean and I drove to  Kekaha Kai State park. The lava road to the beach was crazy. We spent time at two beaches. Both pretty amazing. We snorkeled and saw a couple sea turtles.

No biggie, just a little lava and the most beautiful blue ocean.
We hiked a mile across a lava field and then along a beach to Makalawena Beach. It was the softest sand and clearest water. It was calm when we arrived, by the time we left the waves were getting bigger. Definitely my favorite beach.

The sleep arrangement for the girls was great.  They had their own room.  CE had a bed, Sal a pack n play.  The first couple nights Sally was confused and stood crying as I lay getting CE down.  But then she got used to it, and laid down no issue.  She cried a lot when we got back and put her in her own room.  I think she really like sleeping with her sister.  CE liked it too.  She didn't wake us at all the entire trip. Then again she was exhausted from swimming and the sun.

CE was a little fish.  Loved being in the water and got really comfortable.

Late afternoon one day Sean and I drove up to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We had a fun little trip.  We got there after 5, but had a chance to explore a bit and go see the volcano around sunset.  Then we had dinner and drove back.

 Heading into the lava tube.

Kahalu`u Beach Park
Supposedly the best snorkeling, but it wasn't that impressive per Sean.

Sean explaining to CE that it was safe to get in the water and fill her bucket.  She didn't go in the water until the very last day.

Yummy chicken fajitas.  My man can cook!
Sean and I went on a snorkeling tour one morning with Sea Quest tours (Deluxe Morning Adventure :).  We stopped at 3 locations.  It was awesome!  So much fun.  The last location, Captain Cook monument was amazing snorkeling.  I had so much fun swimming around, diving under the water chasing fish.  The entire tour was great.  Good guides, food, snorkel locations.

The last day our flight was at 10 PM, so we were packed and checked out of the house early and headed to Kua Bay for the morning and lunch.  Then we headed to downtown Kona for the rest of the day.  We actually got a cheap hotel so that Sally could nap while we went to the pool and other little beach area (King Kam Beach) and then shower and stuff before heading to the airport.  It worked out nicely.

The trip already feels like it happened years ago, but it was such a fun and somewhat relaxing time.  I can't wait to go back to the Big Island!  Hawaii is the best!
