Camping at Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park

We headed to cougar Rock campground with Ty, Julie and Nora Friday. There was rain and pretty cold temps Friday, but the rest of the weekend was great.

The first night of sleep was ok. Sally woke up crying a few times. Woke us all at 5:30 AM.

Around our camp site. Nora and CE were  "hiking" up and down the hill and between the two sites a lot. Then taking breaks in the tent with the iPad.

Up at Paradise for a short hike with the girls.

Apparently there's an amazing view of the mountain here. Oh well!

CE did great on the hike. There was lots of snow across a trail that is usually paved and easy going. It made it fun and a bit more difficult for the kiddos. CE was super tired at the end, but she did it. After lunch we headed off of the mountain and both girls took a long nap in the car.

Ty getting some Sally love.
Two pretty awesome people.
Second night of sleep was fantastic. Everyone slept until around 7:30.
The weather was even better today. Completely clear. Could see Rainier peaking through the trees at camp.

We learned some valuable lessons this weekend about packing with the kids and I do look forward to camping again soon.
